Adult Education
Adult Hebrew Level One meets every Thursday evening from 7-8 at KALC. This class is taught by our educator Jan Rabinowich and is geared toward the extreme beginners. This class will learn to decode the consonants and vowels and begin the early stages of reading prayer book Hebrew.
Adult Hebrew Level Two meets every Tuesday evening from 7:30-8:30. This class is taught by Rabbi Dunsker and is geared toward those who have completed level one or are able to read Hebrew slowly but can recognize all consonants and vowels. This class will become proficient in prayer book Hebrew and begin to read from the Torah.
The cost for each class is $300.
Lunch and Learn
This monthly brown bag lunch and discussion is held on the third Tuesday of each month. Attend when you can, all are welcome. Meet with Rabbi Dunsker and other members to study and discuss this year’s theme: Reform Judaism. Learn about how our movement developed, where it’s going and how different Jews experience Reform Judaism today.
Torah Study
Every Saturday morning our Torah Study group meets at KALC at 9:00 to read and discuss the portion of the week as well as some of the Haftarah. All are welcome to join in this lively debate.
