Food Bank November 2009
On Tuesday, November 3rd the Social Action Committee sponsored a group volunteer opportunity at the Oregon Food Bank together with other community members, our team of 18 worked diligently to pack 4,680 pounds of Oats! Many small tasks came together to achieve this. Many thanks go to the scoopers, baggers, twist tiers, boxers, labelers, and pallet movers. In a single visit, our group packed enough food to provide 3,600 meals for people in need. Each member of our team can be proud of their individual contribution. They packed 84 meals each.
