- Earth friendly gifts; for yourself or others

Social Action ACTION continues!
The Social Action Committee is sponsoring 2 Group Volunteer Opportunities (GVO) in the coming month of May. Our first one is again helping in the 4-H Youth Development Organic Community Garden. Thanks in part to our hard work they harvest over 2,000 lbs. of vegetables for the North County Food Bank last season.
Here are the details:
- Sunday, May 2nd from 1pm-3pm (pack a lunch and come from religious school)
- Appropriate for individuals as well as families (ages 8 and up would be best)
- Located at the WSU extension campus, 11104 NE 149th, Brush Prairie, WA.
- We will be doing general gardening and preparing the soil for the planting season
Our second opportunity will be helping with food repacking at the Oregon food bank. This is a great opportunity for those who might not want to do their volunteering outdoors.
Here are the details:
- Tuesday, May 11th from 6:30pm-8:30pm
- Appropriate for individuals as well as families (ages 8 and up would be best)
- Located in Portland at 7900 N.E. 33rd Drive
- Space is limited so sign up early
