Bassem Eid is a Jerusalem-based Palestinian political analyst and human rights pioneer. He is an expert commentator on Arab and Palestinian affairs and the recipient of several human rights awards. In 1996, Eid founded the Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group, and in 2016 he became chair of the Center for Near East Policy Research.
