Happenings: The Vancouver USA Singers of Southwest Washington

The Vancouver USA Singers of Southwest Washington
Please join us for a Benefit Concert that will be held at 3:00 p.m.on Sunday, September 20 at First United Presbyterian Church, 4300 Main Street, in Vancouver, WA.  Vancouver USA Singers have rallied the southwest Washington musical community to support two of its long-time and much-loved members, Bart and Valerie Moore. The couple lost their home in a fire started by a neighborhood firework on the 4th of July. They had no insurance and lost virtually everything when the fire gutted their mobile home and the one next door. Bart is disabled, and together they have a limited income. The choir and soloists of Vancouver USA SingersMisty Mamas, a lively bluegrass group (along with Tony  Rocci of GTM String and Joe Lapidus of Fadin’ By 9), premier jazz vocalist Darcy Schmitt, and pianist Laurie Chinn, along with her daughters, cellist Brita Horlings and Annika Horlings on clarinet, will all be donating their time and talent.  The venue is being generously donated, as well. Contributions will be gladly accepted at the door during this vibrant and exciting concert. All proceeds will be passed along to Bart and Valerie, to help them get back on their feet.
If you are unable to attend the concert and still want to make a donation, you can access the GoFundMe campaign that has been set up for the Moores by clicking on this link:     http://www.gofundme.com/7q7q6pgxsg We hope to see you at the concert!
